A slight history of Kuala Sepetang is that it used to be one of the busiest ports in the region and was recognized as a base to export processed resources. It is also known as “port weld” back in 1800s. This is where the very first railway line was built (to Taiping) in Peninsular Malaysia back in 1885.

Today, it is not only known as fishing village. It has been discover as a new tourists attraction spot. An area of rich biodiversity, it shelters teeming species of trees, fishes and other aquatic life.
